This ebullient World War II era Eisenberg Original brooch has an organic, almost coral reef-like design. A large, round Swarovski crystal is center-set, framed by delicate fronds yearning for the sky. The sterling silver brooch is spangled with bright white little rhinestones that glitter like dewdrops. The piece's pin fastens with a secure rollover clasp. Signed on the back "Eisenberg Original." Circa 1940.
Eisenberg & Sons is an esteemed American jewelry company that makes high-quality costume jewelry. Jonas Eisenberg established the company in Chicago in 1914, offering high-end womenswear. But, it was the clothing's ornate buttons and brooches that seized public attention. The "Eisenberg Original" mark was first used around 1938. These jewels, produced during World War II, featured brilliant Swarovski crystals set in sterling silver.
Details: The brooch measures 2" by 1.54". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
